keats and yeats are on my side. but wilde is buried in paris?

Day 5!! We went to Cimetiere du Pere Lachaise. A cemetery near Belleville. There are alot of famous people buried here. Including Edith Piaf and Oscar Wilde ( and jim morrison), and since I like cemeteries..lets go!

Bad thing is that the camera was at a really hot setting, it wasnt fixed until the end of the cemetery trip. sorry folks. technical difficulties!
It's really big and the plots near the gate are the oldest. They have maps but you'll get lost anyway.

Frederic Chopin's grave. It's a way too blown out for you to see anything. So i found a picture on the internet and customized it.

see? no difference.

Some of the graves are practically on top of each other. Some have toppled due to age.

Edith Piaf's grave. We missed it a couple of times. it's off the pi-ath. awesome!

Next up is Oscar Wilde. I was really happy about this one. A fan donated the statue on his grave. It's like a big naked, flying indian.( huh? I get the naked dude part because it's Oscar, but who knows) It's covered in kisses and little notes. His peen was broken off and someone kissed the nub too.

We went to morrison's grave, but to be honest who flippin cares.

"But you lose, because wilde is on mine" The Ladies Love Cool Oscar.

we caught this english girl right before she went for it.

Busted doors on the mausoleum. ( name of my metal band's first single)

These ladies out on the front of this mausoleum are amazing . zoom in for a better look. always in mourning.

A dreaded sunny day, so I'll meet you at the cemetery gates. ( you'd think I wouldn't quote that song? you crazy.)

Balzac!

This is just the morning and early afternoon of day 5. Watch out for part 2!

  1. Smooth, C. Very smooth. You're like a medium for the living and the dead to communicate.

  2. I've been here too, good times! My friends were both wearing wigs in all our pics. Later that same day I met an English boy at the Eiffel Tower named Oli and fell in love. We're still friends on FB. WOW.
