versailles part deux

Outside! The inside was packed with people and after getting run over by groups of other tourists, we were so happy to get outside. The fog had burnt off, It was kind of magical getting there and not being able to see very far ahead and then going outside and seeing the manicured lawns and trees. The canal is a man made feat. I love how this is a public space now. Totally amazing!

This will not be the first picture of me with my nose in a map or tour book. I am magically blessed with a natural sense of direction. It's a crappy superpower. But I don't get lost.

You can rent a canoe for the lake.. but these dudes are more official like.


There was no way we we're going to walk around the lake, or even the grounds. We rented bikes and it was way better!
